Who Are We?
Jason Nichols, CEO
Jason was the CTO of Centricity, Director of Artificial Intelligence for Walmart, and has a number of patents. He was formerly the Senior Director of Innovation for Time Inc, and an All Source Intelligence Analyst in the United States Army.
He is a husband, father, photographer, digital artist, outdoorsman, cook, and philosopher.
Vik Sasi, COO
Vikram (Vik) Sasi is an experienced early-stage investor with a 100+ deal sheet and experience at Dreamers, TMC's Tech Fund and AmFam Ventures. He began his career as an Analyst for the Clinton Foundation’s Health Access Initiative and as a Strategic Advisor to the Haitian Ministry of Health, with additional stints in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and venture capital at Healthbox. Vik is a former state chess champion, FAA Private Pilot and speaks Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. He holds a BA in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Sean Conrad, Head of Product
Sean began his career programming at the ad-network startup Comet Systems and advanced to Head of Product. After a successful acquisition, he became Head of Product for Ask Applications, a division of IAC. Sean achieved over $100 million revenue growth during his tenure at IAC. Most recently, he led Product and Engineering for WayBetter.
Sean has a BS in Genetics and MS in Information Science and holds a patent on a System for Photo Archives. In his spare time, he’s building an app in Python to automatically organize family photos.
Why StartupOS
Jason founded StartupOS after the implosion of his previous company. After watching his CEO mislead investors, employees, and vendors alike, and leaving a trail of wreckage and wrecked lives, Jason set out on a mission to prevent it from ever happening to anyone else.
Initially envisioned as a Liquidation-as-a-Service and Liquidation insurance service, Jason built the initial prototype of StartupOS. After shopping it around to the VC community and being assured it was potentially the worst idea they had ever seen, he met Vik. Vik believed in the mission and had seen the costs of opacity and poor planning in the community.
Vik helped reorganize the company and get it set for primetime while helping to navigate the pivot to a diligence and transparency platform. Once they had booked their first clients and built a cash flow positive business, Jason and Vik hired Sean to help bring both his world class product knowledge both to advise their clients and assess targets, but also to help reimagine the company as a product-led growth engine.
